Crystal Proffitt, 22, killed; 3 children and 2 adults hospitalized after 2-car crash on Laguna Boulevard and Laguna Park Drive in Elk Grove, California

The Elk Grove Police Department say a Ford Focus and a Dodge pickup truck were traveling west on Laguna Boulevard and had the right of way when another car, a Ford Edge, driving east on Laguna Boulevard attempted a left-hand turn at the intersection of Laguna Park Drive and was struck by the Dodge, killing Crystal Proffitt, 22, the driver of the Ford Edge. There were two children in the car with her. Two adults and one child were in the Dodge. Five people were brought to the hospital. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
