Pedestrian killed in Huntington Beach traffic collision
Based on their preliminary investigation, police believe the man, a transient, was crossing southbound on Brookhurst, against a traffic signal, when he was struck by a Chrysler Sebring traveling eastbound on Hamilton.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the man deceased. The coroner indentified the man as Juan Martinez Tovar, 79, of Santa Ana.
