The woman, who has not been identified, appeared to have been riding her bike on the sidewalk when she was struck, Tenney said.

Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver, 21-year-old Berta Ramirez of Pico Rivera, on suspicion of felony hit and run involving injury, according to Wong.
Ramirez was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, Wong said.
