Boy Critically Injured in Echo Park Hit-and-Run Crash

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, however the driver of the vehicle that fled the scene remains outstanding. The minivan sustained front end damage, with one of the headlights smashing during the collision.

Hit-and-Run Driver Who Killed Teenager on Skateboard Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Sang Won Jung, 27, pleaded no contest to one count of vehicular manslaughter, one count of hit-and-run resulting in death or injury and one count of false report of a crime Tuesday, according to a news release by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. A judge ordered Jung to begin serving his sentence on April 15.

The LAPD says two 15-year-olds were struck by a white minivan near the intersecion of Montrose and Alvarado streets at around 10 p.m. One of the teen boys was critically injured.
