A Thursday collision on Interstate 10 involving two commercial vehicles left one person dead and two injured. At approximately 6:30 PM, one of the vehicles was sitting in the emergency lane on I-10 east and began to merge into moving traffic.

Craig Shuetta was driving a pickup on Interstate 10 just after 5 p.m. when a semi-truck that was pulled off onto the side of the freeway rejoined the road. The pickup rear-ended the semi, causing the accident.
