It happened at about 2:30 p.m. near 43rd and Maryland avenues, not far from West Plaza Park in Phoenix.
"Officers found that two vehicles travelling [sic] in opposite directions collided," according to Sgt. Jonathan Howard of the Phoenix Police Department.
