A serious crash involving a motorcycle closed the Carefree Highway for several blocks in the North Valley on Tuesday morning.

The victim was wearing a helmet and leather clothing, the spokesman said.

A 17-year-old motorcyclist recieved life-threatening injuries after rear-ending a pick-up truck on CArefree Highway at around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The victim suffered a compound fracture, but fortunately was wearing a helmet and protective clothing which protected them from further injury. More information to come.
