DPS: Would-be gas thief causes hit-and-run crashes

A person suspected to trying to steal gas at a Phoenix-area QuikTrip was detained Sunday morning after the suspect led police on a chase that sparked several crashes.

A vehicle led police on a chase after fleeing a QuickTrip and hitting several vehicles in the westbound Interstate-10 tunnel in Phoenix, AZ. The driver hit another vehicle at I-17 and Bethany Home Road, where officers successfully took him into custody.
