Police said the woman had stopped her vehicle in the center lane and after exiting the vehicle, was struck by a pickup truck traveling eastbound.

Detective Nik Rasheta, a spokesman with the Mesa Police Department, said the woman was driving westbound on University Drive near Center Street around 4 a.m. when she stopped in the center lane and got out of her car.
Rasheta said the woman was struck by a vehicle driving eastbound on University Drive.
She was identified by Mesa police late Thursday as Nicole Michelle Wade, 45.
