Soldier killed during Fort Wainwright training exercise

Weaver was a cannon crew member from Fayetteville, North Carolina, who joined the Army in 2013.

Army Spc. Tyrice Weaver died when his 5-ton tactical vehicle rolled while conducting a platoon convoy at the Yukon Training Area at Fort Wainwright. Two other soldiers who were airlifted to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and released the following day. A fourth soldier was treated onsite for minor injuries.
