Charles Jones said it was around 2 a.m., he was heading east bound, when his late night haul took a near deadly turn.
"The next thing I know the windshield just exploded - everything went black," recalled Jones.
Blinded by shattered glass, Jones hit the brakes, his big rig came to a dead stop in the middle road. A driver behind him stopped and called 911.
