Pompano Beach man dies in car accident in Conecuh County

A single-vehicle crash at 6:35 p.m. on Jan. 11, claimed the life of a Pompano Beach Fla. man. Docteur Phignole Jean Baptiste, 39, was killed when the 2014 Freightliner, in which he was a passenger, left the roadway and caught fire. The driver was ejected and transported to a local hospital for injuries. The crash occurred on Interstate 65 at the 93 mile marker, within the city limits of Evergreen.
