2 victims ID'd in fatal accident on Hwy 80 in Phenix City

"It was a three-car accident. I did not approach the vehicles, my nephew did," Dyer said. "And when he did you can tell by his facial expressions it was bad. My child also went near the accident and she knew both the people in the accident. She went to school with and was friends with them. It's something you just don't won't to ever look at." Dyer says she lost her husband after wreck at the same intersection 12 years ago and that many accidents occur there frequently.   
 

UPDATE: 2 dead, another injured in Phenix City crash

The crash delayed traffic and cars were backed up in both directions for several hours on Thursday evening.

Justin King Ford, 27, and Brandon Sherman, 22, died after a 3-vehicle accident on Highway 80 in Phenix City, Alabama on Thursday. A third person was injured and had to be cut out of a vehicle with the jaws of life. His or her condition is not clear. Early police reports indicate that speed may have been a factor.
