8 injured after van collides with school bus in Woodlawn
An accident in Woodlawn involving a school bus and a van sent eight people to the hospital, including four children, ABC 33/40's Edward Burch reports.
Students on bus that wrecked in Woodlawn released from hospital
It took emergency crews about an hour to remove a man who was trapped inside the van. There is no update on his or the female passenger's conditions.
At around 9 a.m., a school bus collided with a van on 1st Avenue North near 52nd Place North. The driver of the van had to be extricated from the vehicle. He and a female passenger suffered serious injuries and were taken to the trauma unit at UAB Hospital. Four children and two adults aboard the school bus suffered minor injuries and were taken to Children's of Alabama for treatment.
