Teen hospitalized after car went down embankment
A teenager was hospitalized after a car went down an embankment off Bluff Ridge Road, a spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department said.

The victim was a 17-year-old female, who told officials on the scene that she didn’t remember what happened. The teen and her dog were both ejected from the vehicle. She sustained serious injuries, but they are not life-threatening. The dog is still missing.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff Department spokespeople, the vehicle’s teenage driver drove off the road and down a ravine. Although law enforcement officials declined to reveal the identity of the driver, they did reveal that she is a woman.
A teen was driving on Bluff Ridge Road at around 11 a.m. when they lost control of their vehicle and the car went down an embankment. The teen was taken to a hospital for treatment, and the extent of their injuries in unknown.
