Jane Roebuck Drake, 80, killed in three-vehicle crash on Highway 82 near Gordo, Alabama

The truck driver is from Northport, and the driver of the car, who is from Florida, was not injured. Drake was pronounced dead at the scene, and the tractor trailer truck driver was transported to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A multiple-vehicle crash on Highway 82 near Gordo resulted in a fatality. Trooper Reginal King says Jane Roebuck Drake, 80, of Northport, was killed when the vehicle she was driving collided with a tractor-trailer truck. The Alabama State Troopers say the wreck involved three vehicles just west of Gordo about 6:00 p.m.

A Friday evening crash in Pickens County claimed the life of a Northport woman. State troopers said Jane Roebuck Drake, 80, of Northport, died in a three-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 82 two miles west of Gordo, near the 22.3-mile marker. Before colliding with the Navistar, Drake collided with a 2009 Acura TL driven by Christie Grays, 41, of Miami. According to troopers, Drake was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu that collided with a Navistar tractor-trailer driven by Anthony Dewayne Napier, 35, of Northport. Napier was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
