Austrian Marcel Hirscher, currently considered the best alpine skier in the world, recently competed in a World Cup event in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy. A few seconds into his second slalom run, he was a split second away from being crushed by a falling camera drone. 

While the skier had a more casual tone on his Instagram account, in a press conference Hirscher, who came in second in the slalom, said, "This is horrible. This can never happen again. This can be a serious injury."
