Samuel Ephraim, 22, of Orlando, was traveling west on University Boulevard around 2:05 a.m., when he lost control of his Nissan, collided with a pole and struck a wall.

At about 8:00pm, Schiller began to cross the road with her bike, but the light had just turned green for crossing traffic and a car struck her once, knocking her over, and then ran over her as it left the scene.

All of the victims' injuries have been reported as non-life threatening, and all were transported to Florida Hospital East. One victim had to be cut from their destroyed vehicle.

Officers say 42-year-old Rosendo Mendez of Hyattsville died Tuesday.

Police say about 1 a.m. May 18, Mendez tried to cross University Boulevard near 15th Avenue. Authorities say a car traveling west hit Mendez when he stepped off the media strip. Officers say he was not in a crosswalk.
