Fiery crash leaves three dead

Singleton was on a nearby road when seven cars and two 18-wheelers crashed before bursting into flames.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart said, "No names are being released at this time... It will need to be confirmed through dental records or DNA before releasing any information". 

Hinds Co. School District mourns student killed in Byram crash

There is still no cause of the fiery wreck on I-55 that killed three people and injured three others. While the identities of the victims have not yet been released, the school district has confirmed that at least one of them was a student in the district.

MDOC officer killed in crash 'full of potential'

Peterson was an officer with the Mississippi Department of Corrections. She was with the state agency for four years.
