Woman Killed, Man Critically Injured In Englewood Crash

A woman was killed and a man critically injured after the car they were in hit a fire hydrant in the Englewood neighborhood early Friday, police said. The two were in a Dodge Stratus traveling at '€œa high rate of speed'€ when the car hit a hydrant in the 5500 block of South LaSalle Street, police said. Both the man, 25, and the woman, 37, had to be extricated from the car, police said.
